What is SGE?
SGE stands for Search Generative Experience.
It is a new way that Google is experimenting with displaying search results. SGE can generate contextual answers using AI and provide summarized information.
SGE can also answer follow-up questions while retaining the context of the original search.
Google Search Generative Experience (SGE), was launched on May 25, 2023.
It is still under development, but it has the potential to change the way we search for information.
SGE can provide us with more comprehensive and informative results than the traditional SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
Additionally, SGE can make it easier for us to find the information that we need.
Here is an example of how SGE might work. Let’s say you search for “How to make a cake.”
SGE might generate a contextual answer that includes a recipe, step-by-step instructions, and a list of ingredients.
SGE might also provide summarized information about the history of cake making and the different types of cakes that are available.
Additionally, SGE might be able to answer follow-up questions, such as “What is the best type of cake for a birthday party?” or “How long does it take to bake a cake?”
